Master Planning

Large strategic sites may also require drainage information to be provided as part of the master planning process. Chapter 7 of The Ciria SuDS Manual C753 provides a conceptual overall of the implementation of SuDS during master planning. Master planning is a fantastic opportunity for SuDS to be integrated into the scheme from the beginning in order to design and utilise them in a  collaborative way. It allows suds to be lined with a wide range of other development objectives in order to bring multifunctional benefits. Figures 7.4, 7.6, and 7.7 provide  good example of how surface water management and suds can be thought of during the master planning stage.
