Katie is a Senior Urban Design Consultant with 5 years’ experience in planning and urban design. Katie previously worked for a local authority for 4.5 years where she developed an extensive understanding of the planning system and an interest in Urban Design, before joining Place Services in November 2023. Katie obtained a distinction in an Urban Design MA at London South Bank University in 2022 and is a recognised practitioner with the Urban Design Group and a licentiate member of the RTPI where she is currently working towards her chartership. Katie is also a committee member of the RTPI East of England Young Planners.

Katie has experience assessing and advising on all levels of planning applications from householders to large-scale majors where she has advocated for improved place-making in development.

Katie's current role also involves serving as the Panel Manager of the EQRP, working with multiple local authorities across the county to deliver a bespoke design quality review service.
