Prachi Rampuria

In 2019, Prachi co-founded EcoResponsive Environments, an emerging and award-winning urban design and architectural practice with a singular mission: using a complex-systems approach, they design to support health and wellbeing for today and future generations. Their Heath Park masterplan project – a mixed-use zero-carbon neighbourhood – was selected by the UK Government as one of ‘35 Green Innovation Schemes’ in 2021. It won a ‘Future Place’ Pineapple Award in 2022 and a National Urban Design Award in 2023.

With over 13 years of experience in the UK, she has led multi-disciplinary teams in developing strategic visions, illustrative masterplans, planning applications, feasibility studies, and public realm regeneration projects facilitated and underpinned by stakeholder engagement. She leads collaborative, quality-focused design processes delivering healthy and sustainable placemaking.

Prachi has co-authored a book titled 'EcoResponsive Environments' published by Routledge. It provides a pioneering multi-scalar framework for settlement design rooted in systems thinking. It cuts across a wide spectrum of professional disciplines, synthesising the diffuse literature available on sustainable and regenerative design into a practical framework for making design decisions, fostering collaborations between all development stakeholders.

She also teaches at Brookes University, sits on multiple Quality Review Panels including the Harlow and Gilston Garden Town QRP and is a Design Council Expert.
