Donald is a leader at the forefront of developing culture, architecture, business districts, food markets & museums in the regeneration, place making, economic and social development of cities and communities. Curator of the Tate Modern Turbine Hall Commission (Superflex) 2017, broadcaster, author, teacher, cultural adviser and consultant.

Shaping organisational and community strategic approaches based on partnership and active participation. Donald has led a twenty-year urban renewal programme transforming the South Bank/Bankside to one of the most vibrant and visited cultural districts in the world. Chair of Borough Food Market through period of major physical and organisational change to a 15 million visitors a year destination and number one attraction on trip advisor. Founder and Chair of the M7 World Food Markets alliance with 45 million customers.

Thinker and innovator in models to diversify cities and to find new, dynamic, innovative and creative models and partnerships. Donald has introduced an approach to cultural and food led regeneration, economic development and urban renewal which has become an internationally recognised model moving beyond traditional master planning to understanding cities as meshed eco systems with social purpose at their core.
