Tom is a Director and co-founder of TCMS Heritage Ltd, a heritage and archaeological consultancy based in London that works across the country. He has a broad range of experience having acted on behalf of clients in highly sensitive locations throughout the UK.
Tom frequently acts as part of large multi-disciplinary teams on challenging and complex sites, including new garden settlements, sustainable urban extensions and major urban regeneration projects. This has included advising on enabling development projects, providing a key insight into the viability challenges that often accompany development projects. He frequently acts as an Expert Witness in Public Inquiries, Local Plan Examinations and in the Courts.
He firmly believes that heritage is a great driver for place-making and that our architectural heritage can, and should, continue to inform the development of the future.
Tom works frequently within Essex and has previously advised on the North Heybridge Garden Suburb development, the Chelmsford Garden Community, new development within Finchingfield and numerous smaller-scale developments, including the conversion and adaptive reuse of historic buildings.
